Nope, it's 100% FREE. Their service has become horrible. 1. 90% Down time, 10% Uptime, but it's always slower than a snail... When I first started with them a month ago, seemed great, was at fast speeds, everything loaded as fast as a Souped up car. They were also on Version 1, you may be asking your self, what does that have to do with the host? It does, and it doesn't. They already are up to Version 4, and already asking for version 5 requests, for anything to be updated. Instead of doing the usual V1.X.X it's V1,2,3,4...... V5 is going to be released at the end of October.
Ads: They had no plans for any ads on 'V1' a month ago. Now they force ads on you, 2 big 728x60 banners one at the top and one at the bottom, problem is, is that they put it over your template, and if you already have ads in place and set up for your template, they get removed, next thing you know, you login to your site, and bam! You see an ad obstructing your view of your banner/menu buttons, it's an inconvenience to you, and your visitors, they can't click on your menu buttons, nor view your banner, guess what? Your visitors leave! Such a shame. 
Stay away from OrangeServe, unless you like the constant down time, and ads that obstruct everything. The ads are also annoying to, as they have inline text ads on almost every word.
Now they want you to pay to get rid of the ads, $10 per month for ad removal. | |
